Introducing Mike Driscoll, hard-nosed ex-cop, recovering alcoholic and a push-over for a beautiful woman. Mary Carter had to leave Las Vegas in a hurry with the police and the mob behind her. When she stops for gas in Virginia City, Montana, a ghost town of the old West, she stops running. No one would look there for a showgirl used to the bright lights and big spenders of Las Vegas. Only one problem. She must go back to Las Vegas to recover a bag she threw into the lagoon of the Treasure Island hotel in her haste to escape—unless someone will do it for her.
Mike’s car is towed into Virginia City and he is the answer to her prayers. She takes him to bed and when she tells him she loves him he is on his way to Las Vegas, where he finds the bag but draws the attention of The Capo, who must get the bag and kill Mary or be killed by the mob. Mike unwittingly leads Tony and his thugs to Virginia City where Mary is waiting and now it is a game of cat and mouse, leading to a final, explosive confrontation in Old Town of Virginia City that will decide the fate of three people locked in a fatal triangle.
